What is a self-service dog wash?

 ...and why do I need it when I can wash my dog at home?



There are many reasons to utilize a self-service dog wash! Here are just a few:

 

 

1. No more aching back, clogged drain, or wrestling with a wet dog in a slippery bathtub.
You're in an out in 30 - 45 minutes...and WE clean up!

 

2. You use much less water than you would at home (similar to a car wash) We provide everything--shampoo, conditioner, aprons, brushes, towels, and MORE!

Our water is the perfect temperature for your dog--a hose is too cold, while a tap can be too hot.

 

3. Many "Do-It-Yourselfers" only wash their dog once or twice a year. This is not healthy for your dog or your home!

 

4. After a home wash, your wet dog tries to dry off by shaking all over the house or rolling in something undesirable. At Tails n' Tubs your dog will leave clean, fresh, and DRY.

    HOW it Works


    Here at Tails n' Tubs we have four private gated self-serve washroom that are approximately 8' x 8' and gated. Each one includes a selection of our professional quality shampoos and conditioners, brushes, towels, aprons, leashes, air dryer, and more.

    A staff member will escort you to the next available tub after it has been cleaned, disinfected, and restocked from the previous wash. Your dog will be fitted with a gentle restraining collar that clips to the side of the tub ensuring the safety of the dog, and the correct position during washing. We will walk you through the washing steps, the use of each product, and proper technique to make the experience more enjoyable for your dog.

    An apron is provided for owners and the water is turned on to a preset temperature (around 95-98 degrees) Which is perfect for dogs.

    Once washed, the dog is towel dried in the tub, and then introduced to the forced air dryer. These super efficient dryers literally blast the water off and out of the fur in seconds rather than waiting for hours for wet fur to dry. After a quick spritz of cologne / perfume and a natural dog cookie you'll be done!

     

    Best of all, we will clean up the mess! No hair in your tub, no wet towels to wash, and no stress!
